We're taking on the Move Your Butt challenge

This time last year the powerful force that was Nicky Astwood bullied Alli, Paula and myself into walking 100km each in the Move Your Butt Challenge to raise money to support vital patient services and fund research to stop bowel cancer taking the people we love.

Nicky was fighting her own non-bowel cancer battle but, always generous and putting others first, fought through her dwindling energy and pain to do this and kept the rest of us on track along the way.

Alli, Paula and I thought it fitting to honor our dear friend by completing the challenge again, and hopefully encourage (bully) some more of Nicky's friends to join us.

Anyone can join our team, raise funds if you wish or just join in in solidarity ✊️ Our plan, as per last year, is to walk the last 10kms together as a group in Wellington.

Every dollar we raise for Bowel Cancer New Zealand will fund essential services for patients and survivors, such as counselling, physiotherapy, and financial assistance. These services provide the support and care that many people desperately need as they battle bowel cancer.

We're asking for your help. Your donation, no matter how big or small, will help us reach our fundraising goal and provide life-changing support and research to help those affected by bowel cancer.
