Upload a photo to your page
People love to see who they’re supporting, so make sure there’s a picture on your profile. Fundraising pages with photos attract three times more donations and get almost five times the traffic.
Tell your story
Let friends and whānau know why you’re moving your butt this February and who you’re doing it for. They really do want to know, so share your story, and they may even sign up with you!
Post regular updates
Share your progress on social media and your fundraising page - it’s a good reminder to your supporters just how serious you are about raising vital funds. And remember to include your fundraising link.
If you hit your target, increase it!
If you hit your target, or you’re less than $100 away from reaching it – increase it! If people see you’re close to meeting your goal, they may not donate as much as they would’ve otherwise.
Say thanks!
Let your supporters know their donation has been noticed and appreciated. After all, they’re helping you and hundreds of other Kiwis to beat bowel cancer. (You can add a thank you after every donation on your fundraising page.)
Ask again
People get busy, and may have just forgotten, so a friendly reminder and an update on your progress as the month draws to an end can help raise more donations.
