Day ONE!

Hello... bring on February!

Alright team, it’s that time of year again where I quite literally move my butt for a cause that’s incredibly close to home. As many of you know, I’m a bowel cancer warrior with my family — and I’m here to tell the tale (and overshare, obviously), not everyone I love has been as lucky. Family, friends… too many of us have been touched by this horrible cancer in one way or another.

So this February, I’m taking part in Move Your Butt NZ, raising funds for Bowel Cancer NZ, an organisation that has supported my whānau through some of our toughest moments.

But let’s be clear:  

I’m not logging my daily steps from wandering to the fridge or pacing while waiting for the kettle to boil.  

Nope — only intentional movement counts.  

Which means every sponsorship is basically you giving me a loving shove out the door to explore Wellington’s trails, hills, and “character-building inclines", and a groove or too early in the morning.

Your support genuinely motivates me to lace up, get moving, and give back to a cause that’s helped keep me — and so many others — going.

To my friends, family, and all the legends who’ve supported me over the years: thank you. Truly. Every dollar is another step toward helping Kiwis facing bowel cancer get the care, support, and hope they deserve.
